On September 11, 2010 BDPS went to the Bluefield Jamboree for the 2nd time.

9/25/10 BDPS was @ the Burkes Garden Fall Festival
With the rest of the crafts and ready to hear more stories from the crowd. We look forward to seeing you there.

July 2010
We Made it All Night at the Lake Shawnee
On June 18, 2010 the BDPS team ventured to what is said to be one of the 10 scariest places in the U.S.A.
Lake Shawnee is located in Mercer County West Virginia. The abandoned amusement park has been dubbed the "haunted amusement park." We went there to find out just how haunted. There is also a Native
American burial ground on the second side of the park, said to be a great "hotspot" for the paranormal. This park has been seen on the TV show "Scariest Places on Earth."
The evening began with a tour of the park. Owner Gaylord White was our guide. We were shown the "hotshot" and told some stories about the haunting said to occur at the park. Some of us took on the
challenge to stay the night at the burial grounds, where few are said to have made it through the night. BDPS team members Rodney Shortridge, Matt O'Quin, Amy Flick and Heather
Lamantia made it!
Special thanks to Clayton Trout and Dr. Shari Stacy for joining the investigation.
The Major David Graham Mansion Investigated
On June 26, 2010 the BDPS team headed to Graham's Forge near Max Meadows, Virginia, to investigate this amazing mansion. The history of the mansion is fascinating and
it explains many of the experiences people are said to have inside this mansion.
We started the evening with a tour from Nick Ferra of Virginia Paranormal Society, the group in charge of organizing investigations at the mansion. He explained some of the history of
the house and how it related to the activity in the mansion. He explained how a clairvoyant came into the home and got different feelings about who was haunting the home. The "hot spot" was a
room nicknamed Clara's room. Another was the "Bride's room". There team members had some hair raising experiences, saw shadows and heard footsteps. It'll be great to see what unfolds. Keep track of
our website for evidence updates from the mansion. Special thanks again to Clayton and Dr. Stacy for joining us, a pleasure once again.
More From Major Graham's Mansion
Graham Fest was held at the mansion on July 4th. Heather Lamantia, from BDPS, attended and assisted with the festivisites. Unfortunately, no other BDPS members were able to attend.
Special thanks to Nick Ferra, Donna Wilson, Chris Conner (all from from VPS) and Tammy Quinn (organizer) for welcoming atmosphere. It was a great day! If you missed a tour
at Graham Fest, walking tours are available on Sundays at 2:15 pm and 3:15 pm. Check on dates and times for events at the mansion at www.majorgrahammansion.com .
They are now preparing for the Halloween Haunted House. More BDPS members are planning to be there for this event! For more on the Graham's Mansion Spooky World go to www.spookyworldusa.com .
Special thanks to the members of VPS for welcoming us to the mansion and giving such an informative tour. We hope that our teams get to work together again soon!
New BDPS Members
On July 11, 2010 BDPS voted in two new members to the team. Micki Nelson and Dave Horn. Micki will be assisting the case manager and
Dave will be helping out with the history of investigation sites. Welcome to you both from BDPS!
BDPS also voted in Allan Gross, Clayton Trout, and Dr. Shari Stacy as Honorary Members of BDPS. Welcome to you three as well!
BDPS Turns 2!!!!
2010 marks the 2 year anniversary for Black Diamond Paranormal Society! Over it's 2 years, BDPS has completed 23 investigations. It may not seem like a lot, but that's because our Founder, Rodney Shortridge, believes in giving the most thorough and accurate final report that he can. He has assembled a diverse team that works well together. Every member has something different to offer. Although faces have changed, people have come and gone, BDPS is stronger than ever! Thank you Rodney, you're the best!
